Only the best will do for your best friend

An independent, purpose designed practice, opened in 2011 and still run by the vets who built it.

Our history

The practice is independent and purpose designed. It opened in the summer of 2011 and, due to rapid expansion, the facilities were extended comprehensively in 2016 and again in 2022.

It was developed by, and continues to be run by, vets Poppy and Bill, both of whom have practised in East Anglia their entire careers and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. They are both committed to a programme of ongoing training and development, and still very much enjoy being vets.

Poppy and Bill are joined by a team of vets, and the veterinary team is complemented by highly experienced nurses, receptionists and animal care assistants. Our veterinary nurses also offer their own regular clinics to enhance our proactive approach to your pet’s healthcare.

Meet the team

How we go about things

Four things that have not changed since 2011.

Continuity of care

We recognise how important it is that a relationship exists between you and your vet, and our policy is for continuity of care with the familiar friendly faces of our team.

Fair and reasonable pricing

We aim to have a fair and reasonable pricing structure, and we publish our most common prices so you can see them before you come in.

Run by the people treating your pet

There is no group and no head office. Poppy and Bill own the practice and still work in it, so decisions about your pet are made by the people looking after them.

A good environmental awareness

We hope to operate the practice with a good environmental awareness, from the way the building was designed to how we run it day to day.

Everything on one site

The practice was designed around the work rather than fitted into an existing building. Five consulting rooms, a dedicated operating theatre, a dental suite, an imaging suite, an in-house laboratory, a pharmacy and separate dog and cat wards are all here in Kennett.

It means tests and treatment happen in the same building, with the team who already know your pet.

Fifteen years, the same familiar faces

Our policy is continuity of care with a long standing team, so the vet examining your dog already knows their history and you are not starting again each visit.
